Muskegon Rescue Mission Announces An Evening with FFH and Bebo Norman

Muskegon Rescue Mission announced artist details today for their 7th Annual Spring Benefit Concert. An Evening with FFH and Bebo Norman will be presented Friday, April 27th at 7:00 pm at the Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts in Muskegon.

Executive Director Kevin Newton announced the co-headliners with an invitation for the community to "come see a great show and support an even greater cause. We are thrilled to once again bring top tier Christian music to Muskegon and look forward to a wonderful evening. Attendees will be supporting the work of the Mission while being challenged and inspired by these two artists."

FFH and Bebo Norman are both past performers at the Unity Christian Music Festival in Muskegon and well known to Christian music fans nationwide.

FFH comes to Muskegon with a stellar background and a new story to share. With over 1.5 million cd's sold, fans are familiar with the bands numerous top ten hits including seven #1 radio singles. What many don't know is the story behind their sabbatical in Africa, time away from touring and the adjustment of dealing with the discovery and treatment of MS for the group's leader Jeromy Deibler. Jeromy and his wife Jennifer lead the band and the time away gave them a fresh perspective on the most important things in life.

"We feel like it's time to renew our connection with our audience and start telling them about this chapter in our story", says Jeromy.

Bebo Norman's style and sound has been compared to artists such as James Taylor or more recently John Mayer. His hits include "Pull Me Out," "Great Light of the World" and "Here Goes" from his 2010 "Oceans" album. Norman's music looks at faith from a surprising personal place. "Pull Me Out' is about learning more every day that what I really need to do in this life and in this world is to simply trust in a God who is indeed completely in control", says Norman. He sees his songs as "An invitation to the truth about a God who is bigger than the pain this world so often leaves them in."

Proceeds from the show benefit the work of Muskegon Rescue Mission. The mission, in their 105th year of helping the homeless, helpless and hurting in West Michigan operates shelters for homeless men, women and children. The mission also operates an extensive Community Ministries outreach that includes a food pantry, clothing, household goods and other assistance to help families avoid becoming homeless. All support comes from the donations of individuals, churches and businesses in West Michigan.

"The needs in our area have never been greater", Newton stated. "We are so grateful for the ongoing support of so many people who care about their neighbors. This event is another way to share the work we do, while providing a truly enjoyable special event for the community".
