Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 7:30 PM - STYX , one of America's greatest classic rock bands, will make their first-ever concert appearance on The Frauenthal Center stage.

Formed in a suburban Chicago basement in the early 1970s, STYX came to regional Midwest attention with their hit single "Lady", thanks to constant airplay on Chicage radio powerhouse WLS am.

Tommy Shaw (then a resident of Niles, MI.) joined the band in 1975 and STYX reeled off consecutive multi-million selling albums "Equinox", "Crystal Ball", "The Grand Illusion" and "Pieces of Eight".

STYX were named the top American Rock Band in a 1981 Gallup Poll.
