Muskegon, MI – You might not have to travel all the way to Mackinac this year to join the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk because a Labor Day Community Walk will be held in the City of Muskegon to help “Get Michigan Moving.”
The City of Muskegon in conjunction with 1-in-21 Healthy Muskegon County is organizing a walk on Labor Day, September 3rd, beginning at Fisherman’s Landing. Walkers are asked to register at the pavilion at 8:30 a.m. The walk will follow the Lakeshore Trail to the nature preserve in North Muskegon. Participants will circle around and complete their walk at Fisherman’s Landing for a total of 4.2 miles. A snack and water will be available to walkers.
A physically active Michigan means a healthier Michigan. Take advantage of the wonderful opportunities to enjoy Michigan’s beautiful parks, trails and lakes while hiking, biking and swimming your way to fitness and health.
