American Red Cross offers disaster training response class in Muskegon | Events

The American Red Cross is offering a free disaster training course; "Disaster Services: An Overview."
The class will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 from 9am to 1pm at the ARC office at 313 West Webster Avenue. Pre-registration is required. Call (231) 720-4243 to reserve your seat.
According to a Red Cross news release, "This training will prepare potential volunteers to understand the Red Cross role in disaster relief and prepare the participant for further training that will allow the participant to assist in responding to house fires, managing a shelter, feeding, meeting medical needs and providing emotional support to disaster victims."
The Disaster Services: An Overview class is a prerequisite for any individual who wants to to volunteer to help victims of disaasters.
