My Town Muskegon: Crews prepare for worst during mock incident

MUSKEGON, Mich.--  On Jan. 31, the patrons of Frauenthal Center for Performing Arts and Smash Wine Bar & Bristo walked into what looked like the scene of an emergency.

The facility hosted mock incident training organized by the Muskegon Citizen Corps and Region 6 Healthcare Coalition. Students of the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center’s (MACTC) Criminal Justice class and area first responders took part in the session. Participants included paramedics, nurses, firefighters, social workers, pharmacists and physicians, as well as Dr. Jerry A. Evans of Mercy Health Muskegon. Students wore badges explaining their role and acted as bombing victims.
