Meijer Scholar Athlete Megan Chase | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM)- WZZM and Meijer are pleased to recognize Oakridge High School senior Megan Chase as our Meijer Scholar Athlete of the Week for the week of November seventh.
Megan is a standout student at OHS maintaining a 4.418 grade point average. She takes advanced placement courses at Oakridge and is currently enrolled in two courses at Muskegon Community College. Megan tells WZZM she would like to become a doctor and has already been admitted into Grand Valley State University where she will study next year.
With a passion for cheerleading at Oakridge, Megan wants to dispel some myths. "There's a stereotype on cheerleaders," she says. "I'm definitely not a dumb blonde. I have a 4.418 GPA. And cheerleading, it's a sport. It's hard to do both. Especially with the life that I have, the busy schedule, the football team we have that's so good, it's hard to juggle both things."
WZZM and Meijer congratulate Megan on her hard work and wish her continued success!
