UPDATE: Crash kills Grand Haven father | News

SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-Muskegon County deputies say the driver who caused the crash that killed a Grand Haven father was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Deputies were called to Heights Ravenna Road near Ensley Road at 4:20 p.m. Saturday. Detectives say a pickup truck driver was trying to pass another vehicle on Heights Ravenna Road in rainy conditions when he lost control and hit a 2007 Ford Focus driven by 37-year-old John Shumaker of Grand Haven. Shumaker died at the scene. His daughter was taken to Hackley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The pickup truck driver was treated at the hospital then taken to the Muskegon County jail, where he's facing charges for operating while under the influence, resulting in death.
