UPDATE - MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - Muskegon Police say that the body found at Pere Marquette Park was that of a 55-60 year old man.

Police found the body floating in Lake Michigan about 50 yards south of the south breakwall in about two feet of water.  A city worker had called police.

The man's identity has not yet been confirmed by authorities and an autopsy is to be performed.

We'll have more details when they become available.

MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a body has been found along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Muskegon.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports the body was found by a city worker Monday morning at Pere Marquette Park. Authorities were on the scene.

Additional information wasn't immediately released.
