Man charged for making dog and raccoon fight | News

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - A Muskegon County man is in trouble for torturing a raccoon and sharing a video of the attack on Facebook.

On Tuesday, authorities charged David Pennell, 21, Egelston Township with felony animal torture.

Investigators say Pennell posted the video in May. It's still on his Facebook page.

Police say it shows Pennell knocking a raccoon from a tree, then encouraging a dog to attack the animal. When the dog started losing the fight, Pennell is accused of stomping on the raccoon's head.

The video was forwarded to a conservation officer who turned the case over to prosecutors.
