Grand Rapids, Mich. (WZZM)--Local law enforcement is teaming up with Subway to keep kids safe during the summer months.

Playin' Safe is a campaign that has police officers hand out citations to kids who are playing safely in their community.  Then, kids can redeem their citation at participating Subway stores.

Officers will be at the Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and at Reese Playground in Muskegon on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Officers will be looking for things like kids wearing their bicycle helmets.
