High winds blamed for Muskegon power outage

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - High winds are to blame for a power outage affecting hundreds of homes and businesses in Muskegon.

Consumers Energy spokesman Roger Morgenstern says power went out just before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Power was restored at 3:45 p.m. Morgenstern says 1,364 customers were affected. A similar outage happened earlier in the morning.

The strong wind also made for big waves on Lake Michigan.
