Teen hit by SUV while waiting for school bus | News

FRUITLAND TWP., Mich. (WZZM) - A 16-year-old Reeths-Puffer high student was hurt Monday morning when she was clipped by an SUV.

The accident happened at about 7:00am at West McMillen and Worden in Fruitland Township.

Deputies say that a man driving a Chevy Tahoe briefly left the road and hit the girl with the side view mirror of his truck.  He originally left the scene thinking he had hit a deer, but returned about 15 minutes later.

The girl was taken to the hospital with a broken arm.
