Road construction on Sherman Blvd. between Lincoln St. East to Estes

The City of Muskegon and the City of Norton Shores along with Kamminga and Roodvoets, Inc. (Contractor) will be reconstructing Sherman Blvd, between Lincoln St., and Estes St, along with watermain upgrades. This project is scheduled to begin the week of August 13th, 2012 and should be completed by November 21st, 2012.

Notice of Construction: Hackley Ave, Glen To Hudson

The City of Muskegon along with Jackson-Merkey Contractors, Inc. (Contractor) will be resurfacing Hackley Ave., between Glen and Hudson Streets, along with watermain upgrades. This project is scheduled to begin the week of July 23rd, 2012 and should be completed by October 26, 2012.

Access to your property (barring unforeseen circumstances) will be maintained during the construction to the extent possible.

Also, during the upgrades it may be necessary to turn your water off for intermediate periods. The City will notify you prior to your water being turned off.

Hot Rod Power Tour headed to Muskegon

Hot Rod Power Tour headed to Muskegon

Friday and Saturday the Lakeshore was brought back in time to the era of  Hot Rods.

Local Hot Rod enthusiast shared their passion for these cars by filling the lot at  Fricano's on Muskegon Lake with their Hot Rods. This blast from the past fueled the fires for Sunday’s event.

Sunday the Hot Rod Power Tour will leave the GM Proving grounds in Milford MI and head to the Lakeshore, the cars are expected to begin arriving around noon.

The schedule of Events for Sunday is :

 7am – 8:30 am the Hor Rods will leave from the Warren City Hall, the Tour is scheduled to take US-31 Business to Seaway Drive into downtown Muskegon it is unknown if road construction may detour the cars down Apple Ave.
 
8am - Noon Sponsors and vendors set-up in Downtown Muskegon, MI

Noon Registration opens in Muskegon and Tour begins to arrive – Coker Tire Cruise Night begins

Monday, May 7, 2012 Resurfacing of Getty St.

Finishing what we started…Resurfacing of Getty St., Laketon to Evanston Ave…

Starting the week of Monday, May 7, 2012, construction to resurface Getty Street between Laketon and Evanston Ave. will get underway and will last until May 25, 2012.

There will be no road closures during this last phase of the construction.

Resurface Terrace Between Apple Western Ave

Starting next Monday, April 2, 2012, construction to resurface Terrace street between Apple & Western Ave. will get underway and will last until the end of May. The construction will be split into two phases; with the northerly bond lanes starting Monday. During the aforementioned construction the following detour will be established;

  1. During the first phase of construction; traffic from Apple Ave. will be detoured to Jefferson – Western – Terrace.
  2. During the second phase of construction; traffic from Terrace will be detoured to Western Ave – Jefferson – Apple.
