Higher gas prices? Ride On Muskegon

-----------------------------NEWS RELEASE--------------------------

MUSKEGON — Motivation should be two-fold for participants in this year’s Ride On Muskegon bike to work the week of May 16.

The local bike-to-work week promotion should get participants who are concerned about the current price of gasoline and have a need to become healthier, organizers said.

“It’s a good time to do it this year,” according to Scott Blease, event coordinator and a sales representative for Access Health in Muskegon. “Those should be two big motivators.”

The price of gasoline is about $1 more than it was at this time last year when Muskegon employees rode their bikes to work as part of the national bike riding event. Gasoline at $4.18 a gallon as of Monday got the attention of area commuters.

On top of the economic issues are the health factors.
