Every day, hundreds of stories pour into the WZZM13 newsroom but only a fraction of them make it onto our daily newscasts or WZZM13.com… until now. Our “My Town” websites are devoted solely to coverage of neighborhood news stories that might not fit on the six o’clock newscast but are still important to the communities we serve. That’s where you come in.
In addition to stories generated by our news team, we’re signing up a team of citizen journalists and local neighborhood organizations to post news reports, community bulletins, event announcements, photos and video directly to their community’s website where the news can be viewed and shared by thousands of visitors to WZZM13.com.
If you live or conduct business in any of the My Town communities, and you have a nose for news, you can become a Community Content Provider today. Email mytown@wzzm13.com or call (616)559-1446. Our community website producer will get back to you with a username and password along with instructions for uploading your copy, photos and videos.
